Kwey, Bienvenue and welcome to Maniwaki Woodland School. I am very proud to be the Principal of this amazing school. It is a privilege for me to work with our students, our staff and our families to make Maniwaki Woodland the very best it can be. My goal is to ensure our school community works together to ensure every student reaches their potential.
We aim to create a culturally safe, nurturing and challenging environment that is built on positive relationships and high expectations that develop the whole student-emotionally, socially and academically. We care for and value every one of our students as unique individuals with the ability to be positive members of the school community.
We want our students to leave Maniwaki Woodland School having developed the values of respect, cooperation, resiliency and a willingness to do their best. Our students develop these qualities through authentic learning opportunities in and outside of the classroom with the support of their teachers and peers.
I have worked for WQSB for the past 13 years as an elementary & secondary teacher. I am now in my fourth year as principal of the school. I am proud to call Maniwaki my home where I live with my wife and two children.
Sincerely,
Ryan Woodhouse
Principal
